| Hi all,
Sorry about not getting on here in soooooo long.
I wanted to ask those of you who are left, to please pray for my brother. He has been in Afgan. since July, and my dad just called me to let me know that was injured today. He was hit with some shrapnel in one of his legs. The wound is not bad enough to go to Germany, but he will be out of comition for a bit.
Thank you for your prayers. I hope to get back to here one day.
God bless! | | |
| Happy New Year Everyone!!!
I've been looking for this picture since we moved into our new home.
Unpacking is going well. It's kind of hard moving into a fully furnished home. There are some pieces that need to be moved into the basement so that we can have room for our things.
I hope to be on the computer more this year, updating with pictures of Abigail and other things that happen around here.
May the Lord bless you with joy and peace this new year!

| Hi y'all,
Yesterday was the viewing, and the funeral is at 10am today (Christmas Eve). Unfortunately I can't go to the funeral because Abigail and I are sick. We are slowly getting better.
Here are some of the excerpts from the bulletin they printed for the viewing yesterday.
"Howard Jessup was born and raised in Jefferson Township, Cass County, Michigan. He served in the United States Army during World War II fighting in the Pacific, North African, and European Theaters. He was one of those fighting at the Battle of the Bulge.
When Howard returned home in 1945, he went on to finish his bachelors degree in Education, and later his masters. Starting in 1966 Howard taught junior high math, school bookkeeping, accounting, and typing. He also served as a yearbook advisor, and was the assistant principal at L.D. Mohr High School. He retired in 1979. In recognition for his outstanding service to the school and community, Howerd was the Grand Marshall of the South Haven Blueberry Festival parade in the summer of 1979. After he retired, he lived in Dowagiac and spent the winter months in Bradenton, FL.
Howard's greatest joy was his family. He also enjoyed fishing, loved to garden, and was a Boy Scout Leader. Howard is survived by his wife Helen whom he married in 1946, and his three children: Melvin and his wife Janice and their two children, Kristin (who married Kurt DeWitt), and Corey; Susan who devoted her life to teaching elementary children; and Thomas and his wife Marilyn and there 10 children: Joshua, his wife Evon and daughter Abigail, Mara, Jonathan, Jeremiah, Joseph, James, Jedidiah, Josiah, Johanan, and Hannah; his brother James, and his wife Margaret. He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Eva Belle, and two brothers Robert and Kenneth."
I do not have a picture for you at this time, but hope to get a copy of a picture of Grandpa holding Abigail. He always loved seeing Abigail. Over the past month or so, Grandpa had been in and out of the hospital. Every time we brought Abigail to see him, he would get the biggest smile on his face. When in the hospital he had a hard time remembering who came to see him, except Abigail.
Thank you for your prayers. They are much appreciated.
May you have a wonderful Christmas tomorrow!
| Hi Y'all,
Yes, we are back up and running faster than origanaly thought.
Josh and his family are at the hospital (which is a couple of blocks down from our new place) because they are taking his Grandpa (his dad's dad) off of life support. Grandpa was admitted last night with a temp. of 88. It started going back up for a few hours, but if was short lived. It's been about 1 1/2 hrs. since I heard from Josh. They were waiting for the rest of the family to arrive before they took Grandpa off life support. As far as I know, he is a Christan, so it is a bitter sweet parting.
We stopped by last night to try to let him see Abigail again because he always perks up when he sees her. He opend his eye's, but we are not sure he knew we were there.
Thank you for your prayers. I know the family is greatful for them.
